Fed: Govt downplays British move out of Iraq

The federal government is trying to play down Britain's decision to begin pulling some
troops out of Iraq .. stressing it's a reduction not a withdrawal.

British PM TONY BLAIR has told US President GEORGE W BUSH he'll begin pulling Britain's
seven thousand-100 troops out of Iraq .. reportedly within weeks.

In contrast .. Australia's bolstering its contribution in Iraq with JOHN HOWARD committing
to send up to 70 more military trainers within …
