Swm: Hall defends drugs in swimming words; tips Eamon for gold

Outspoken swimmer GARRY HALL Junior says the overreaction to his comments on drugs
in swimming after EAMON SULLIVAN set a new sprint mark early this year .. is because he's
American.

The US Olympian has told the Seven Network he never called SULLIVAN a drug cheat after
he smashed ALEX POPOV's eight-year-old 50-metre freestyle record.

HALL says he just noted it was an unprecedented time drop because of the new swimsuits
.. and critics GRANT HACKETT and IAN THORPE have also made comments about drugs in their
sport.
