QLD:No confidence convoy leaves Cairns

A convoy has left far-north Queensland, carrying a determined message to the Gillard
government over policies including the proposed carbon tax.

More than 100 motorists in semi-trailers, cars and on motorbikes left Cairns for the
five-day trek to Canberra as part of the "Convoy of No Confidence".

On the way they'll be joined by other vehicles, before meeting up with a series of
convoys in the capital in a move designed to put pressure on Prime Minister JULIA GILLARD.
