Qld: Drunk man caught speeding 90Km over limit: police

BRISBANE, Dec 19 AAP - A man has been caught driving 90 kilometres over the speed limit
south of Brisbane with a blood-alcohol level almost four times over the legal limit, police
say.

The 30-year-old was stopped by police in Short Street in Boronia Heights at about 11.45am
(AEST) on Saturday after driving 140Km/h in a 50Km/h zone, police said.

They said the man also registered an alcohol blood content of .183.

Police immediately suspended the man's licence.

Logan District Acting Superintendent David Hutchinson said he was disgusted someone
could be "so irresponsible and show such total disregard for the law and other road users"

in the lead-up to Christmas.
